Objective: Create a micronation, including the flag, currency and a travel poster
Timeline: June-July 2023 as a part of my Communication Design II Class
You might be asking yourself, what is a micronation? A micronation is an entity that claims to be an independent state but whose sovereignty is not recognized by the international community.
Above are my sketches for the flag. After doing research on flag design, I decided that my flag should have a limited amount of colors, little detail and symbolism.
Above is the flag I created. The dark blue represents the ocean, the light blue represents the sky, and the red coral in the middle represents the strength of the nation.
Below is the currency I created. I designed with accessibility in mind. Each note changes in color and size as the price increases. I also put a sea creature on each note, with each sea creature getting larger as the value of the note increases.

For the travel poster above, I decided to include collage elements to give a welcoming and nostalgic feel.
